Standard polyurethane tubing will not survive close to a weld gun. Use a hose or tube with a spatter resistant cover, and add a braided sleeve where the line passes the tip dresser or sits in the spatter path. Almost always flow, not pressure at the compressor. Long runs with undersized tubing, too many elbows, worn couplers and loaded FRL elements all drop pressure at the tool under load, so measure at the tool while it is running rather than at the header. Upsizing the drop and standardising the coupler profile usually recovers more than adding compressor capacity. Check the reel too, because a long coiled lead on a small bore is the restriction most automotive and manufacturing supplies lists ignore.

Size on peak simultaneous flow, not average. Add up the free air consumption of every device that can fire at once, add the blow-off, then size the drop and the reel so pressure at the tool stays where the tool spec needs it. Not safely in every case. Semi synthetic and synthetic coolants attack some elastomers that handle straight oil fine, and the hose goes soft or swells over a few months. Depends on the traffic. Coiled leads are cheaper and fine at a fixed station with a short reach and no cart traffic. Reels are worth it where the lead crosses an aisle, where operators drag more than a few metres of hose, or where a lead has already been crushed once.
