Aggregate and cement supplies are the hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid handling components that keep a fixed plant crushing, screening, conveying and batching: crusher clamp circuit hose, assemblies that survive screen deck vibration, conveyor takeup lines, silo air cannons, and high temperature hose near the kiln.
They also cover plant air, sump pumps and hot water washdown for cement buildup. Most teams sourcing aggregate and cement supplies start at the crusher circuit and work outward, since that is where downtime costs the most tonnes. Mobile fleet and remote site supply sit on our mining page.
In a fixed plant, one line takes the whole circuit down with it. Every assembly is crimped and tested in house at both shops, and standard builds are same-day. Bring in the failed line, or send both fitting types plus the finished length, and we will crimp a replacement. Mobile crimping covers the plant work where the line cannot come off the machine, which is most of a crusher deck.
We also design and build custom hydraulic power units and complete hydraulic systems for takeups, gates and auxiliary plant equipment, and we supply the health and safety gear your crews go through. Plants that buy their aggregate and cement supplies from one counter make one phone call when a circuit goes down instead of four.
Stock depth is the other half of it. Nitro is Gatesā largest independent distributor of industrial and hydraulic hoses in Canada, so crusher circuit spiral, abrasion resistant cover, air hose, water hose, camlocks and adaptors are on the shelf rather than on order. Most aggregate and cement supplies a fixed plant burns through in a season are stocked lines here.
Pick up at 8520 Jane St in Concord or 740 Huronia Rd in Barrie, or we ship across Canada. Open terms are available with the credit application, or contact the team with a plant assembly list and we will hold the components. Mobile fleet and underground work is covered on our mining page, earthmoving and site machines on construction and heavy equipment, and plant machinery builds on equipment and machinery.
Send the assembly list two weeks before a shutdown and we will confirm what is on the shelf, build the long lead items early, and stage the rest so nobody is waiting at a counter at seven on a Saturday. That same list becomes your standing order for the year, and if the plant runs a spring and a fall shutdown we will keep both on file and flag what changed.
Common questions we hear from teams in this sector, from choosing the right components to same-day repairs when a machine is down.
Because the fitting is where the movement stops. A screen deck shakes everything bolted near it, and a hose clamped tight at both ends with no service loop takes that motion at the ferrule until the reinforcement fatigues. Leave a controlled loop, clamp the straight run so it cannot swing, and sleeve every point that touches steel. If the same line fails twice the routing is the problem, and no change of aggregate and cement supplies will fix it.
Spec it for the spike, not the gauge. Tramp iron through the chamber sends pressure well above normal, so the assembly and both fittings have to carry that peak with shock allowance. Spiral construction with an abrasion resistant cover is normal here. Build to exact length, keep a made-up spare for each circuit, and tell us the relief setting and accumulator arrangement. Crusher aggregate and cement supplies are worth over-speccing, because the assembly costs a fraction of the downtime.
Measure the temperature at the line, not in the room. Radiant heat off a kiln shell or a preheater tower can put a hose well past the rating printed on the cover, and standard cover hardens, cracks and fails early. Give us the actual ambient and media temperatures and we will match hose construction and cover, add heat sleeving where routing cannot move the line, and put the rating on the quote.
Rusting them from the inside and washing the lubricant out. Moisture carried down the header into gate cylinders, mixer doors and dust collector pulse valves causes sticking, slow strokes and early failure, and outdoors in an Ontario winter it freezes the line solid. Fix it at the source with filtration, regulation and working drains before you replace another valve.
Tell us the dates and we will plan around them. Standard hose assemblies are built and crimped in house at Concord and Barrie with same-day turnaround, so a line that lets go during a shutdown does not wait on a supplier. Send the assembly list ahead and we will have the hose, couplings and adaptors pulled. Shutdown weekends are when aggregate and cement supplies need to sit on your floor, not ours.
Yes. We design and build custom hydraulic power units and complete hydraulic systems in house, so a takeup, a divert gate, a slide gate or a plant door can run off a unit sized for that duty instead of hanging off a shared circuit. Tell us the cylinder, the stroke, the cycle rate and where the unit has to sit.
Yes to both. We ship across Canada from stocked inventory, and both Ontario locations are open for pickup: Concord at 8520 Jane St Units 7-9 and Barrie at 740 Huronia Rd Unit 7. If your plant is running a shutdown or a seasonal ramp, tell us the date so we can confirm what is on the shelf. We can also split one order of aggregate and cement supplies across both counters.
Yes. Fill out the credit application on our site to open terms. If your plant pulls the same assemblies, fittings and air components every month, send the list and we will hold stock so your reorder is pulled and ready. Purchasing gets one supplier, one invoice and predictable lead times, and consolidating aggregate and cement supplies onto one account makes it obvious which parts you are replacing too often.
Size for solids before flow. Fines and grit shred an impeller built for clean water, so you want a solids handling pump. A submersible drops straight into the pit and handles static head well, which suits a fixed sump. A trash pump sits on the bank, takes larger solids and moves between ponds easily. Tell us the depth, the head and what is in the water.
In a fixed plant nothing fails in isolation. A chafed line on a screen deck, a weeping fitting on a crusher clamp circuit or a wet air header does not stop production today ā it stops it on the shift when the circuit goes down and the spare was never made up.
Walk these checks with your aggregate and cement supplies list in hand, because most of what they turn up is a part you should already be stocking. Anything replaced twice in a year belongs on the standing aggregate and cement supplies order, not an emergency call.
